WEEK 7 READING CAMPAIGN

The students enthusiastically took part in Week 7 Activity of 100 Days Reading Campaign. The students of classes 1 and 2 were encouraged to identify the main characters of the story and their attributes. Activity for classes 3 to 5 was conducted in pairs. One student played the role of author and the other is the fictional character created by the author. They questioned each other. The students of classes 6 to 8 read books suggested by the teacher and wrote a character summary of the most villainous character.

    READING CHALLENGE 6TH WEEK

    Week 6 of the 100 days Reading Campaign was organised by the teachers of our school. The teacher narrated a story to the students of classes 1 and 2 and they were encouraged to think of a title of the story. They prepared the title tree on a sheet. Students of classes 3 to 5 made colourful calendar of different months and marked the birth dates of poets/writers. They also shared videos telling about the poet/writer. Students of classes 6 to 8 came up with different recipes in their own innovative style. They shared how they added their own flavour to the recipe.

      READING CHALLENGE 5TH WEEK

      Teachers organised Week 5 Activity  of 100 days Reading Campaign over zoom meeting. Students of class 1 and 2 picked any one state and wrote about traditional food, dance of that state. They shared their photos with the traditional food and videos performing the traditional dance. Children of Classes 3 to 5 narrated folk tales under Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat program. They wrote folk tales  of different states that showed the diversity in Indian culture. Students of classes 6 to 8 conducted an interview where some students took the role of the key characters and the others were assigned the role of the press. Students were eager to do this activity.  A student acted as the interviewer and interviewed other classmates who played different characters like MS Dhoni, a doctor, a teacher.

        Basant Panchami marks the arrival of spring. On this day people worship goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, art and music. The students of classes 1 to 5 participated in the Basant Panchami Activity on 05.02.22. Students shared their photos and videos dressed in yellow attire. They offered prayers to Goddess Saraswati and also learnt the significance of Saraswati Pooja. They also shared photos of yellow delicacies and videos of dance performances. Some children made kites also. All of them were excited for the festival.

          READING CHALLENGE 4 WEEK

          The students of classes 1 to 8 actively participated in the week 4 Activity of 100 days Reading Challenge. The students told a few lines about the story they have read. They shared the stories written on sheet. Some of them sent their videos talking about the story and their favourite characters.
