Without taste buds, life would have no flavour. An activity was done to make our kids aware of different tastes and to develop their sensory organs.

‘A bitter pill’, ‘sour grapes’ or ‘sweet nothing’ – descriptions of taste are very often associated with strong emotions.

The students were provided with sweet, sour, salty, bitter food items to taste and they expressed their experience of how the food tasted. With facial expressions they played a game about tastes. The activity was enjoyed by the kids and it enhanced their sense of taste as well.

The students of Arwachin International School Pilkhuwa, in their endeavour to support community development and promote social awareness, organized a road show-cum-rally from Kishanganj to Railway Road, Pilkhuwa on February 18, 2020.

The students presented a street play on ‘Save Mother Earth’ in Hindi and a play on ‘Women Empowerment’ in English. Following the train of thoughts and in compliance with their vision, the students urged the audience to save the environment and improve women’s political, social, economic and health status. They chanted slogans that spread the message of how imperative it is to act upon measures to save Mother Earth and empower women. The collaborative efforts and hard work of the teachers and students were evident, as the students performed brilliantly, leaving an indelible mark on the minds of the spectators. It was a cherished experience for the young interactors who derived encouragement, to indulge in social service, from the enthusiastic and supportive audience.

“Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it” 

The school successfully conducted an Inter House G.K. Quiz for Classes I to V on 1st February 2020 in which four different houses with four fervent participants in each house gave a tough battle to each other. The participants had to go through mazes of the word needs to be changed and mind blogging rounds consisting of questions related to current affairs, science, sports, music and many more topics. The quiz comprised of oral questions, riddles, audio and visual rounds. Through various interesting as well as challenging rounds, the knowledge of the participating students was put to test in this quiz. The students skilfully answered the questions asked. Even though some of the questions were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience go ‘Aah!’ and clap when the teams answered correctly. It was a very informative and knowledge-enriching competition for the participants along with the audience. The evolving curious minds that emerged as winners were the students of Shastri House. Everyone clapped and cheered for the ecstatic winning team.
