Plantation of Trees

Degrading environment and the plight of the earth are the causes of worry everywhere across the globe. Under the garb of urbanization, industrialization and development; we, human beings are playing havoc with our environment. Hence implanting saplings and plants is the only option to restore the glory of the ailing planet. With this in mind, a programme entitled “Plantation of Trees” was conducted on three consecutive days i.e. July 26, 27 & 28 at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa.

The children as well as the teachers exhibited their penchant for it when they planted scores of saplings and plants in the school premises. It is the need of the hour to join the movement and plant as many saplings as possible, and contribute to the conservation of environment.

    Kargil Vijay Diwas

    On Thursday, 26 July 2018 The Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa which commemorated India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war, The Indian soldiers set up an example of exemplary bravery, sacrifice and their high morale in the face of adverse situations. They fought tooth and nail to foil the enemy’s evil designs and brought glory to the nation. They proved that Indian forces are invincible and capable of meeting any challenge from the opponents. To pay tribute to the brave soldiers an assembly was conducted by class IV-B. Students began the assembly with pledge followed by a patriotic song and a moving speech by a student of senior class. His speech was imbued with patriotism and won the acclaim of the audience. In every word, he spoke, there was a distinct glimpse of enthusiasm and love of the nation. His speech was followed by a teacher’s address to the children. She too, in her short but pithy address, instilled in the children a new enthusiasm, vigour and determination. Everyone saluted to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their motherland. 

      Solo Dance Competition

      In order to enrich the students’ knowledge of music and give them a respite from the hectic schedule of studies, Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa organised Solo Dance Competition which saw its culmination on Wednesday, 25 July 2018. It was planned for the students from class VI – IX with western classical music being the theme of the competition. The participants exhibited their penchant for it. In today’s world of tension and stress, music provides a healthy escape from the hectic routine of everyday life. It also instilled in the students a new and fresh resolve to achieve their goals and expose their real potential.

        Visit to Parliament

        With a view to enabling the students and the teachers to watch the proceedings of the Parliament during the monsoon session, Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa organised a trip to the Parliament on Monday, 23rd July 2018. The students, escorted by the teachers, were fortunate to witness Lok Sabha proceedings. They were greatly delighted and awe- struck to watch the Parliament with the ruling party magnifying their achievements and highlighting their policies and the entire opposition censuring them for not coming true to their tall promises. It was a high pitched wordy battle with the government justifying and defending themselves and the opposition disapproving of their policies. Before the students got entry into the spectators’ balcony, they had to go through a meticulous search by the security personnel. The students as well as the teachers returned greatly amused and updated.

         

          Poster Making Competition

          With a view to creating awareness about the depleting sources of fuels and the ailing environment. Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa on Saturday, 21 July 2018, organised a Poster Making Competition inviting participation of students from grade VI – IX. The students expressed their concern for the languishing environment and fast depleting resources that unfortunately go unnoticed in the wake of industrialisation and urbanisation. This, they expressed through making posters with various and attractive designs. Their designs and models spoke volumes for their love of the environment and natural resources. Needless to say, they are going to be great protectors and saviors of nature in the forthcoming years.

            Show & Tell Competition

            The Pre- Primary wing celebrated ‘Green Leaf Printing Activity’. To enhance the linguistic skills of tiny tots. ‘Show & Tell’ competition was also held. The students participated actively and enjoyed this activity very much. The Theme of the show and tell activity was ‘Animals’. It was interesting topic for students. They all brought props of their favourite animal and spoke 5 lines about it.

            Leaf head gear was given to them as ‘Take away of the day’.

            They were dressed up in green colour and brought ‘Brown bread vegetable sandwich and guava for lunch.
