Things we get from plants

On April 27, 2019, students from class III B did an activity in the class to know more about things from plants. This activity was done so that the students understood their EVS chapter ‘Plants Around Us’ better. They brought some things that plants give us, like wheat, rice, pulses, etc and pasted those on their activity sheets. They had fun while identifying the things that all the students had brought and gained a better understanding of plant products.

    Latitudes and Longitudes


    On Saturday, 27th April 2019 the students of Class – V performed an activity in their class to learn the difference between latitudes and longitudes. They brought wool yams of various colours and pasted them on a sphere vertically (longitudes) and horizontally (latitudes) and learned the difference between the two while thoroughly enjoying the experience.

      DISTRICT LEVEL CHESS COMPETITION

       

      On April 27,   2019 2nd  The annual District Chess Competition was organized by the Chess Association Hapur, at AIS Pilkhuwa. 152 students from over 10 schools  participated in the competition, which was inaugurated by Mr. Alexander Francis, Principal, AIS.  The participants were divided into five categories  i.e. under 9, under 11, under 13, under 17 and the open category.

      In this competition Srishti Sharma, Ananya Sharma and Aaditya Mujahid of AIS, Pilkhuwa were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.    11 students of our  the school  won the matches  in other categories.  They were congratulated for winning laurels for their school.

      Mr.Alexander Francis, the Principal, AIS Pilkhuwa congratulated the winners and said that chess is the game that teaches us many skills and qualities like analyzing and making strategies.   It aids the thinking process and makes one more patient.

      Ms. Ayushi Sharma, Director, AIS and Mr. Akshat Sharma, Manager, AIS praised the participants and gave them their blessings.

      Mr. Sunil Tomer, the Sports Incharge, Mr. Himanshu Rajput  along with teachers Mr. D.P. Sharma, Ms. Deepali Tomer, Mr. Lakhan Choudhary and Mr. Amit Kaushik, The Treasurer Chess Sports Association, Hapur also contributed to the successful organization of this Chess Competition.

        Nature Walk

        Nature Walk


        On April 26, 2019 class III B went for a nature walk to learn more about plants. This was done to make them familiar with the plants around them. They saw shrubs, herbs, climbers, and different types of fruit bearing trees like banana, grapes and pomegranate and could easily identify them by the end of the walk. They enjoyed the experience and it helped them understand their EVS chapter ‘Plants Around Us’ better.

          Earth Day Celebration

          Earth Day Celebration


          Cheerful students of Little Ducklings and Arwachin International School celebrated the ‘World Earth Day’ with great enthusiasm. They also took a pledge to protect the environment. The Children learnt how to ‘Save trees & save nature’. It was a great exposure for them to be a part of the ‘Earth Saviour ‘team.

          They did activities like ‘Show and Tell’ story telling and story enactment to make a promise that they will save nature. They understood the importance of plants and water through these activities.

            Good Manners Apple Tree

             The Students of the Pre- Primary wing were introduced to good manners and they made an apple tree of  it. They were told about the use of

            5.       Welcome

            T    They learnt these words through a story and added the words, to their vocabulary. This activity showed    them the way to enhance their manners  in daily life and to be polite.
