Practice makes a man perfect & children are no exception. Keeping this in view, the management decided to adopt an interdisciplinary method for the classes I to V. It was decided that all the subject teachers will correlate their teaching to a single topic. The topic taken for April & May is ‘The Human Body’. To facilitate learning, the teachers from I to V explained the functioning of various body parts to the students. The EVS teacher taught external and internal parts of the body. The Maths teacher correlated it by telling the number of each part of the body. Likewise, the English teacher included it in the syllabus by making them write in alphabetical order. All the efforts made by different teachers in the acceleration of the teaching-learning process. This new technique seems to be benefitting the students. Other topics will be taken in a similar manner during the session.

    English and S.St activities were conducted on 28 April 2018 to test the speech ability and knowledge of the students. The students were divided into various categories and they were given various activities related to speaking skills.
    Using environmental props, Class 4-6 narrated stories. Topics given to them were
    1.     An incident from a famous person’s life
    2.     A famous historic event
    Likewise, students of class 7-10 were given topics for delivering a speech. Their topics were
    1.     Advantages and Disadvantages of Nuclear Test and
    2.     Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology
    The performances not only left the teachers spellbound but also motivated the non-participants to give their best in future. The selected students will again be given a topic to choose the best out of them.


      Today i.e on 27th of April, an activity titled “O’ Dear Me” was initiated at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa. It sought to enable the preprimary students to be in a position to express themselves. They could articulate their ideas and thoughts the way they chose. As a result, they were relieved of their reticence and hesitation. They emerged self-assertive and self-expressive. Following the initiative taken by their mates, they introduced themselves to the entire class in the presence of their teacher.
       

        ‘Hygiene Kit’ making Activity at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa

        A healthy mind exists only in a healthy body. Today i.e. on 26th April 2018, the importance of health and hygiene was emphasized through Hygiene Kit making activity at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa. It was intended to create awareness among pre-primary students relating to health and hygiene. It was intimated to them that they must observe a number of healthy habits to stay healthy, happy and strong. These habits included brushing teeth using soap, combing hair and using first-aid. The tiny tots learnt them better through practice and experiment. These health-related activities also provided them diversion and entertainment

          Splash Pool Activity at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa

          In order to provide an escape from the rising temperature and the scorching heat of The Sun, Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa organized the 'Splash Pool Activity' for the tiny tots on  25th April 2018. All the students availed themselves of this activity and they had enjoyed the splash pool activity. Being fond of water, all the students were highly interested in it. After that, they found themselves spirited to take up their studies.

            English Language Day at Arwachin International School

            In order to create awareness among the students towards the rising importance of English in everyday life, English Language Day was organised for the pre-primary students at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa.
            To achieve this objective, a number of activities relating to the enrichment of English language were organised for them and they exhibited their craving for all of them. The activities, so organised, are given below -
            a. The students of U.K.G class occupied themselves with the task of reading three letter words particularly those beginning with ‘A’ sound.
            b. Those in L.K.G class engaged themselves with another activity. A worksheet with letters and pictures was given to them for matchmaking.
            c. Those in Nursery and Toddlers were busy reading the letters of the alphabet. Also, they coloured them.

              Seed Germination Activity at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa

              This planet of ours is in the grip of pollution everywhere. It has now assumed threatening proportions and if not taken care of, the Earth is likely to cease to be a fitting place for its inhabitants. Viewed in this perspective, the Earth needs to be covered with trees so as to restore its previous glory. In the wake of deforestation, the Earth has been stripped of its greenery, its flora and fauna. By engaging themselves in ‘Seed Germination Activity’, the students expressed their concern for the Earth and a desire to regain the past beauty of the Earth.

                Water Cycle Activity at Arwachin International School

                Water is the elixir of the Earth. Survival without water on this blue planet is not possible. In order to bring home this message to the students, Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa organized ‘Water Cycle Activity’ to highlight the significance of water. How water when heated, evaporates to make water vapours and how the vapours condense to make clouds was shown through charts. The rain water gets deposited in the water bodies e.g lakes, seas and ocean. The students pasted the pictures of clouds, the Sun, trees, and pond in their water cycle chart. This activity was accomplished with great relish by the students. 

                  Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa organized various computer activities on different dates as have been stated below.

                  For classes Ist & IInd, MS-Paint was organized and participated by the students on 21st April 2018. For class III, Poster in MS-Word was organized on 17th and 19th April 2018. For class IV, Poster in MS-Word was organized on April 18th 2018. For class V & VI, invitation card was organized on April 19th 2018 and April 18th 2018. For VII & VIII MS-PowerPoint was organized on April 17, 2018 and April 19, 2018. For IX & X MS-PowerPoint was organized on consecutive dates, i.e 16th & 17th April 2018. All these activities received a huge response from the students and they were greatly benefited by them


                    Today i.e on 13th April 2018, Baisakhi celebration was executed at Arwachin International School, Pilkhuwa. Students from Little Ducklings, Hapur and Little Ducklings, Pilkhuwa were invited to our main branch (Arwachin International). The host branch welcomed the students from the other branches and they were assembled at the assembly hall. Students were told about Baisakhi that how it is celebrated? And why it is celebrated? Students were shown wheat crops as well as the fields where wheat was cultivated. Atiksh of class U.K.G shared his information with the other students on Baisakhi. A fancy dress competition was organized on this occasion. Students looked very beautiful in their colourful costumes. The competition was among AIS and Little Ducklings students. Students set the stage on fire with an extraordinary ramp walk. A special food code was set for today – Chhole bhature and banana. They relished their food and enjoyed a lot. The guest participants were given a take away return gift. Our respected director mam (Ayushi mam) addressed the students and gave chocolates to the students. It was a wonderful event.

                      Good Manners Pond Activity at Little Ducklings, Pilkhuwa

                      Little Ducklings Pilhuwa organized ‘Good Manners Pond’ activity in 7th of April. The purpose was to bring about a desirable change in their manners and lifestyle. Also, the value of moral values and discipline was pointed out to them. After, they had listened to their teachers; they seemed to have understood the value of this virtue. They reflected their resolve from their faces to observe and implement all the moral rules in their lives and become eminent personalities of future. Eventually, they showed their participation in Save Water campaign. They came to know that water is the elixir of life.

                        GSP Programme at Little Ducklings, Pilkhuwa

                        On 6th of April 2018, Little Ducklings, Pilkhuwa organized GSP or Guest Speaker Programme which aims at updating and inspiring students by presenting an eminent person as a role model who gives useful counsel to them. The guest of today was Ms Ayushi Ma’am, the director of the school. She counselled the students to observe certain rules related to good habits, good manners, health, hygiene and sanitation. This brief interaction prompted the children to bring about a welcome change in their lifestyle.
