Teachers day was celebrated in our school on 5.9.22 with full enthusiasm and eagerness. The program began by welcoming the teachers with a flower and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The first performance was Guru Vandana by Akshita from class 7B. On that day, senior students from Class 12 took the responsibility of expressing gratitude to their teachers. The students gave their best dance performance for their beloved teachers. Class 7 students gave a mesmerising performance accompanied with a Guitar. Students from Class 3 performed a fun filled energetic dance performance. Arshdeep and Aarav from class 7 and 8 recited a poem on the occassion of Teacher's day.
The students organised some interesting games for the teachers. One was ‘Balloon Bursting’ game which was won by Ms.Sandhya Arya and Mr.Nitin Jain. Along with it, the other game was to guess the names of the song which was displayed by class 12 students. Mr.Sunil, Mr. Mohit, Ms.Tanya and Ms.Anshi won the game and it was enjoyed by everyone as they couldn’t stop laughing. Fiona Biju and Avni from Grade 8 and 7 gave an inspirational speech on the relevance of the day and talked about the principles of teaching by Sarvapalli RadhaKrishnan.
The students of class 9 enacted an entertaining play in which they played the role of different teachers and also captivated everyone with the moral of the skit that we must learn to respect our gurus. To conclude, our principal Alexander Francis gave a passionate speech on the theme of Teacher’s Day and the program ended with a ramp walk by the teachers where Mrs. Sahana Rao was felicitated by the Manager of the school as the ‘Best Teacher’.
The programme concluded by presenting the teachers with a token of love and affection in the form of gifts awarded by the Manager of the School, Mr.Vichakshan Sharma and the Principal Mr. Alexander Francis.
